Medium/high-voltage, single- and double-ended Halogen mains voltage lamps are available in two designs: single-ended and double-ended lamps and typically designed for operating at 230V, 240V or 120V. The colour temperatures of the lamps vary according to applications: 3400K for the highest possible luminous efficiency, 3200K for professional film and television recording, 3000K or 2900K for the situations that require a longer life.

The patented quartz pinch technology is a completely new process for manufacturing main and line voltage halogen lamps. A thin and extremely sensitive filament wire is held directly in the bulb by quartz pinch points. So the lamps are better protected against shock and vibrations. Discarding the conventional filament holder improves the quality of the lamp and therefore allows an increase in efficiency. This provides up to 10% more brightness.

Thanks to patented quartz pinch technology, OSRAM offers a lot of advantages especially for the professional photography, video lighting, scan lighting and effect lighting units.
